An ancient war continues

In the 12th chapter of Revelations we read about a war in heaven. This is a war that resulted in the dragon (Satan), together with a third of the angels who followed him, to be cast out of heaven into the earth.

"And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him." – Rev 12:10

This is an ancient battle that not only continues to this day, but intensifies as we draw closer to the end-times. When Satan and his followers (demons / evil spirits) were cast down to earth they certainly had no intentions to make this world, created by God (their nemesis), a better place. You don't have to believe in this raging battle in order for it to exist. In fact, it is becoming harder to ignore its existence, since it only makes sense that Satan will increase his efforts as his time runs out.

"Therefore rejoice ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time." Rev 12:12

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" – 1 Pet 5:8

The good news is that you don't have to consult with these evil demonic forces to find out why they are invading your home and your life, and you don't have to consult with psychics to reveal the secrets of darkness. In fact, the Bible teaches us that it is against God's will to consult, call upon, and talk to spirits, and we shouldn't even be in the company of someone who does these things.

"Turn not to those (mediums) who have familiar spirits or to wizards (occult); do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God" – Lev 19:31

"There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of the times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all these things are abominations unto the LORD:" – Deu 18:10-12

Jesus is the answer, and his Word gives us clear instructions on how we can purge these evil forces and influences from our lives and homes. The forces of darkness tremble at the mention of Jesus' name, and they simply cannot stand in God's presence. He is the King of kings... the Lord of lords.. Jehoshua.

"And unclean spirits, when they saw Him, fell down before Him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God." - Mar 3:11

"And He (Jesus) said to them, I saw Satan falling like a lightning from heaven. Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power that the enemy possesses; and nothing shall in any way harm you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice at this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are enrolled in heaven." - Luk 10:18-20

It is our responsibility to turn our homes and lives into places that are acceptable to God. Places that can be occupied by the Holy Spirit. We have to clean up, invite the Holy Spirit in, and keep it clean.

"But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and earthenware, and some for honourable and noble use and some for menial and ignoble use. So whoever cleanses himself from what is ignoble and unclean, who separates himself from contact with contaminating and corrupting influences, will be a vessel set apart and useful for honourable and noble purposes, consecrated and profitable to the Master, fit and ready for any good work." - 2 Tim 2:20 (Amp)

You have to choose:
  • A noble life, consecrated, peaceful, and profitable to the Master, fit and ready for any good work, and protected by the powerful blood of Jesus.
  • A Life tormented by Satan, fearful, unprotected, and left at the mercy of something that hates you.
